There are a number of them for sale on amazon.com or ebay.

I like keeping them in files on my computer. Microsoft works has a template if you don't want to make on yourself. Then instead of finding it in a book I just search for it on the computer.

I used a standard wirebound notebook like kids use for school, and wrote the index on the last few pages; used stick on tabs for my favorite recipes...and it was handy because if a recipe wasn't as good as I expected, I could just tear it out and throw it away. It's cheaper than the ones they have at bookstores already hardbound, and easier to write in - for me at least.

I actually got a binder with the plastic cover sheets, that way I can either write and protect, or print and protect, and have all my favorites in one place. Great when you spill-just wipe off the plastic.

Try a bookstore like Barnes & Noble.

I use a 1 inch binder and those spines/ covers or indexing tabs from Avery to separate my recipes. It works out fine and I can keep adding more recipes any time I want.

You might try the book section in your local Sam's Club. A few summers back I got one called "Cooking Traditions from the Heart " , a recipe keeper. It has indexed dividers, hints and tips,a splash guard and lots of extras. It's all in a 3 ring binder, so add-ons are easy. If they no longer carry it, try looking up the publisher. You may be able to order one. And at a bargain of $8.00, it's worth a try. Published by : "New Seasons " a division of Publications International,Ltd. Happy cooking.
